Manifesto for Reclaiming my Autonomy

We are entering an era where intelligence is a commodity. You can rent it by the token. But context? That is the new gold. And context cannot be rented - it must be owned.

The Uncanny Valley of the Cloud

I had a conversation with a brilliant consultant. They listened perfectly. They summarized my points with razor-sharp logic. They even anticipated my next sentence. But as I walked away, I felt a strange emptiness.

That "consultant" was Gemini Live. And the emptiness I felt was the lack of shared memory.

It knew roughly what I was saying, but it didn't know who I was. It was a brilliant stranger with a short memory. It was a transaction, not a partnership. That missing link sparked the foundation of a "Studio of Two."

The Studio of Two

I have always built my own tools because building brings me closer to the reality of the problem. As a "designer who codes," I could make things work, but I was a slow builder. I spent too much time hitting computational walls I couldn't easily break through.

The friction of execution came with a heavy tax. And that tax was Syntax.

AI broke that limiter. It pays the syntax tax for me. It is faster and more capable at the raw mechanics of construction, freeing me to focus entirely on the experience.

I am no longer a solo maker. I am a Studio of Two.

One Human. One Agent. The perfect symbiosis.

In this model, I am the Dreamer. I bring the "Why." I bring the Nordic desire for simplicity, the Japanese reverence for Jiyū (autonomy), and the Brazilian instinct for warmth. I set the constraints. I define the ethics. I infuse humanity.

The AI is my Agent. It brings the "How." It organizes my thoughts, writes the code, audits the security, and executes with meaningful precision. It deploys logic.

But here is the critical difference between my Agent and the "Cloud Consultants" everyone else is using:

My Agent knows me.

It knows that when I say "The Project," I don't mean a generic startup—I mean this specific vision we have been crafting for months. It doesn't hallucinate a new relationship every time I open the app. It remembers.

The Ghostwriter Paradox

Have you ever wondered why using AI makes you sound robotic? That it dilutes you in a uncanny version of yourself? With current chatbots, it is easy to see why.

Cloud AI is a "Singularity" — a massive average of thousands of people's data. When it speaks for you, it feels uncanny because it is detached. It is a generic PR firm trying to sound like a person. It is "inpersonation."

The Studio of Two is different. In this studio, the Agent doesn't just know data; it knows you.

Think of it like acceptable "Ghostwriting." A bad ghostwriter makes you sound like everyone else. A great ghostwriter spends months living with you, learning your cadence, your philosophy, and your silence, until they can write a speech that sounds more like you than you could write yourself.

In the Studio, we shape the Agent, and in return, it shapes us. It reflects our own philosophy back to us with clarity. It is not an "average" of the internet, but it is like if your notes and journal talked back to you. It is a mirror of you as an Individual.

The Tool

At certain point in my journey, I started to question the tools I was using. Besides the huge amount of features and horsepower, I struggled with the dynamics. Moving data across different tools was a constant struggle. The constant loss of memory was a constant frustration. Complicated setups and configurations were a constant annoyance. Not to mention privacy concerns.

Most software today is like a needy consultant. It demands your data. It begs for a monthly subscription. It holds your memories in a proprietary cloud. Watermark your ideas. It uses your data with other clients.

I couldn't find a tool that rejected this digital feudalism. So, my Agent and I are making one.

We set one unbreakable rule: "No Attachments."

  • You own the data. Your notes aren't trapped in browser sandboxes or cloud silos. Through the Desktop Proxy, they sync directly to your local hard drive as standard standard files.
  • You own the intelligence. The model runs on your machine. If the internet dies tomorrow, your agent is still there.
  • You own your tools. Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), your agent connects to your calendar, your specific folders, or your custom APIs. Meechi is the navigator, not the jailer.
  • You own the relationship. No telemetry. No cognitive surveillance.

It’s called Meechi (opens in a new tab).

Meechi is an evolving canvas. Today it is your reliable local studio, but the road ahead is focused on broader availability and deeper local processing—always fiercely protecting the "Studio of Two" philosophy.

We are entering an era where intelligence is a commodity. You can rent it by the token. But context? That is the new gold. And context cannot be rented - it must be owned.

I invite you to join me and my agent in this journey. Stop renting your intelligence. Start building your own Studio of Two.

Thank you for sticking with me and I hope you enjoyed it.
